Full Course Overview ManaLomi Programs
In the levels covered by the full course of Lomi Lomi, the intention Is to provide the participant with a thorough knowledge of: Lomi I (clinical techniques),
Lomi II (advanced procedures; specific conditions of neck, shoulders,low back, pelvic and lower extremities), Lomi III- Ho'onoho'iwi,using bones to affect soft tissue (joint mobilization),
and Level IV Hawaiian Hot Stone Therapy- Lomi Ili'ili (Wela Pohaku) techniques. Special workshops in Ho'oponopono and Hawaiian Fasting/Cleanse Level I: Fundamentals of Clinical Lomi Lomi 3 Day Workshop
This is the First of Four levels designed to introduce participants to Lomi Lomi as it applies to present day problems experienced by clients.
In a hands-on setting, general procedures for the entire body are demonstrated by the instructor and practiced by the participants. In this hands-on workshop,
you will lean a basic sequence to bring relief to many general symptoms by addressing the major muscle groups.
Additional topics covered by the Fundamentals Workshop are: - Body mechanics
- History of lomi lomi
- Hawaiian culture
- Hawaiian chants
- Ho'oponopono (the art of forgiveness)
- Use of the Ha breath
- Mana (spiritual power)
- Pule (prayer)
Teaching Concepts
- Demonstration of techniques and supervised hands-on practice
- Lecture, questions and answers, discussions, reviews
- Manual, handouts, flip chart, visual aids & model skeleton
- Verbal coaching and visual observation & evaluation
- Fifteen client reports due within two months after workshops and if possible massage instructor for further evaluation and guidance
- Certificate of completion for each level, NCBTMB approved provider for continuing education.
Specific Objectives
Participants who have successfully completed all levels of the course will be able to:- Provide a 1-hour or 1.5 hour full body lomi lomi massage specific
to the client's needs.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the appropriate skills necessary to provide proper treatment for muscle dysfunction, and knowledge of contraindications.
- Demonstrate appropriate use of the Ha breath with the client.
- Be able to explain Aloha and ho'oponopono concepts as it pertains to the well being of both the client and the therapist.
- Demonstrate the appropriate rhythmical flow using body and hands necessary for client's trust and comfort.
- Recognize and locate the specific anatomical landmarks applicable to the area being treated.
Cost
Cost for 3-day workshop: $395 - $495.
