Advanced Techniques 4 Day Workshops & 6 Day workshops
This is the Second of Four levels designed to introduce participants to Lomi Lomi as it applies to present day problems experienced by clients. Pre-requisite is Level I
with an approved ManaLomi instructor.
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn advanced techniques to treat specific conditions and complaints of:- Neck and shoulder
- Back, especially low back problems, using hot towel treatments
- Pelvic issues
- Lower extremities complaints
Teaching Concepts
- Demonstration of techniques and supervised hands-on practice
- Lecture, questions and answers, discussions, reviews
- Manual, handouts, flip chart, visual aids & model skeleton
- Verbal coaching and visual observation & evaluation
- Fifteen client reports due within two months after workshops and if possible massage instructor for further evaluation and guidance
- Certificate of completion for each level, NCBTMB approved provider for continuing education.
Specific Objectives
Participants who have successfully completed the course should be able to: - Address specific complaints of the client, and get results quickly.
- Have knowledge of the key links (muscles) - Indirect and direct to specific areas of complaint. Identify specific muscle attachments.
- Understand contraindications.
- Observation (use Intuition, observe structure, listen to client,) to determine treatment.
- Be more focused on determining the source of the primary complaint.
- Understand the action of compression/traction, and how it affects GTO.
Full Course through the ManaLomi Program
In the four levels covered by the full course of Lomi Lomi the intention Is to provide the participant with a thorough knowledge of: Lomi I (clinical techniques),
Lomi II (advanced procedures; specific conditions of neck, shoulders, back, pelvic and lower extremities), Lomi III (joint mobilization), and
Level IV Hawaiian Hot Stone Therapy (Wela Pohaku) techniques.
Cost
Cost for the 4 day workshop is $600.
